It’s okay if you don’t know how to plan your life for success, I am right here. But before we proceed, here’s a situation for you.
Imagine if you were to make $500 a day. A company seeing your talent offers you $500 a day, but based on your performance.
If you don’t complete the daily tasks, you may be paid less than that. If you complete them, you will make $500 every day.
Now the question is, how will you reach your daily tasks? You know the company, their objectives, their tasks but what you need to do to complete every single task, rightly, by the end of the day? And here your answer lies – how to plan your life for success?
The result you want is completely dependent on the plan you make. If you have no plans for reaching your targets, you will always be confused and distracted.
Even the toppers have scheduled their learning times beforehand. Every student is given curriculum, contents, is taught every lesson just the same. But one who plans out his entire year with resources in mind, tops.
Let it be anything. Whatever you want to achieve. If you are in 12th and want to break the records, if you are in your 18’s and want to start a startup, if you are in your 30s and want to re-start your career, a good plan will help you achieve those targets.

How To Plan Your Life For Success In 5 Steps?
The key to success in life is a healthy plan. If the plan is incomplete, or not followed properly or you are not consistent, then the success may delay. Lot of people fail to succeed even after working hard because of lack of guidance and indetermination.
To create a good plan for anything (business, blog, organization, etc), the first step is to organize your life. Once you organize your life, creating plans for a specific achievement will become easier.
Supposedly, if I don’t know what I want to do in life and I start planning a random achievement, I may not win. But if I am planning out my life then I will have an idea of what I want to do, what I want to become, and what are my goals?
And accordingly, I will create a plan to achieve those targets.
Here’s how to be successful in life –
1. Who are you?
The first step to plan out your success is to know who you are. If you already know who you are, the process will be easier. If you don’t know who you exactly are, you will need to explore yourself.
Exploring yourself will help you know your passion, your dreams and desires. When we don’t know what we want, we choose any road to success. Later we realize that this isn’t something I wanted to do.
Many a time we know it too, but we follow what others want us to do. Mainly, to not let our parents down, or to go with something that will pay you more, or by opinions of people who think your dreams won’t give you enough.
So, it’s better to go with your choices, by taking time to explore yourself. That way there will be lesser chances of failure and blame trips.
2. SWOT Analysis
SWOT Analysis is a matrix that helps an individual and businesses identify their strengths, weakness, opportunities and threats regarding their projects.
Basically, when you will explore what you want to do in life, the next step will be to identify your strengths and weaknesses. Plus, what can be the opportunities and hurdles that may come your way.
Preparing yourself for the further journey is never a bad idea. That is what is planning for. Planning does the half work. Additionally, prepares you for successes and failures together.
So, I would really suggest you to conduct SWOT Analysis. You can also screenshot the below image.
3. Goal Setting
Once the self-awarness phase is passed, here comes goal setting. Now you need to set the target you want to achieve.
Goal setting means to plan out your various achievement. More like creating short-term and long-term goals. Short-term goals are goals that you decide to accomplish the long-term goals. For example, if your long-term goal is to be a billionaire by the age of 50, your short-term goal can be to set income sources, make investments, budgeting, learn and execute.
Goal setting is important so you can reach your target faster and better. And it cannot be done properly without completing previous steps.
Now you know where you have to begin from.
4. Content Plan
There are types of success in life. Some wants to succeed in their workplace, get promotion and increase their salaries while some dream to succeed as an entrepreneur and some as a not for profit organization.
Nobody can define the kind of success you are looking for, but yourself. So, to accomplish the kind of success or specific target, content plan is important.
Now content plan is something you create to achieve all the small targets linked with your destination. For example, you are a blogger and your dream is to become the best blogger by competing with all great bloggers. Then first you need to create a complete month or a year plan. And that plan will carry all the topics you will cover by the end of the month or year.
Plus, in how many days will you complete an article/post? How long will you keep them? Who are your competitors? Why are they best among all? How many posts in a month and so in a year?
This is how a content plan is created. Let it be anything, this was just an example. Basically, again to create short-term goals to meet a long-term success but for a specific target. Like wanting to become a teacher along with a businessman, then both will have different content plans.
If you are into business, you can create monthly content plan regarding the work you need to complete in a month, to progress further. Content plans actually boost productivity. Because now you know what you have to do step by step.
When there are no content plans, you will always struggle with progress. You will keep working and working but won’t see any results. Because you will do one thing, then sit back, then do another thing and sit back in a hope that something will work out. But the plan will actually make you consistent.
You will always know you have to complete something to go on something. If you don’t, you will not progress.
5. Track Your Progress
Now you have understood how to plan your life for success. You are also working on it, but no idea whether you are progressing or not.
For that purpose, after executing all the steps and working over content plans and goals every month, do not forget to track your progress. Tracking your progress will give you an idea about how far did you come. Even if it’s 0.5 in the first month, it will be a lot because you got somewhere, whereas you were struggling before.
So yeah, here we complete the five steps planning for success in life. If you consider all the steps and work on them everyday, you will see far better results than you see now.
